Trade for Tyrod Taylor
Every team that needs a QB will likely be calling the Cleveland Browns, to check the availability of Tyrod Taylor. It’s hard to believe they haven’t received any calls for him.
The Giants are one of those teams that should be looking to improve their QB position. For me, the Giants make a ton of sense for Taylor.
If the Giants acquire Tyrod (or is it Tuh-rod?), they could see how he is the rest of the season. If he plays good, then sign him for one or two more years, while continuing your search for your future franchise QB.
At worst he doesn’t fit, but all you’ll lose is a mid-round draft pick. They have plenty of those now with them trading Apple and Harrison though.
Taylor lost his job due to an injury this season. When the team you’re on drafts a QB with the number one pick in the draft, you’re leash is short to begin with.
Everyone knows Baker Mayfield was going to start at some point this season.
There a few reasons why Taylor fits the Giants very well. Eli Manning struggles with mobility, pushing the ball downfield and turnovers.
Taylor is better in all of those categories. With a bad offensive line, Taylor can still create plays with his legs. He also can throw a nice deep ball as seen here.

Manning is incapable of making throws like that anymore. Taylor also limits turnovers in a historic fashion. He is fourth all-time in TD/INT ratio, only behind Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Russell Wilson.
If the Giants want to improve their QB position, they should give a call to John Dorsey. Dorsey has shown he loves to make trades happen.
