Indianapolis Colts
Not having a reliable pass rush and underwhelming quarterback play is not exactly a winning formula in the NFL. Both were the case for the Indianapolis Colts last season, but there’s outlook for real improvement in each of those areas after making offseason changes.
Before getting into those other areas, the ground game for the Colts should be impressive. They added Jonathan Taylor to pair with Marlon Mack in the backfield with an elite offensive line creating favorable running lanes. That should setup play-action for Philip Rivers quite nicely.
Meanwhile, the Colts also added Michael Pittman Jr. and he will provide the big-bodied receiving presence they’ve sorely lacked in recent years. When factoring in Parris Campbell being healthy, there is real outlook for their receiving corps to improve considerably.
The defense has real outlook to improve with DeForest Buckner setting the tone in the trenches. There are still some potential weaknesses in the overall unit, but having that main pass rushing threat to set the tone can go a long way for a group.
