Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens
Marquise Brown showed that he could be one of the best big play receivers in the league with his performance last season. Although he has fantastic big play potential, Brown needs to show he is more than just a speedster. With his incredible speed, he has Tyreek Hill level potential, being the kind of player that can take a eight-yard slant into a 50-yard touchdown.
On a Ravens team that lacks depth at receiver, Brown growing to be a consistent target is very important.
Although Baltimore had one of the greatest offensive seasons in NFL history last season, the lack of playmakers at receiver were a big reason they lost to the Tennessee Titans. Last season Hollywood Brown struggled against the press. The more physical corners in the NFL gave Brown a very hard time. Lamar Jackson throws a great deep ball. He can also extend plays better than almost any quarterback in the NFL. Match Lamar’s skill with Browns ability to get behind the defense, it could be lethal.
Marquise Brown is a small receiver and he won’t win many jump balls. He needs to show a greater ability to create separation with more precise route-running. He is surely going to have some highlight plays this year, however, showing he be a consistent target is more important.
