4. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are the only team in his article that doesn’t use a 4-3 defense. Instead, Baltimore and defensive coordinator Don Martindale play with three down linemen and four linebackers. This past season, Matt Judon tallied 9.5 sacks from his outside linebacker position.
The scheme difference makes Bosa an odd fit in Baltimore, but it’s too tempting to picture him in a Ravens uniform. Baltimore always builds incredible defenses, and the team recently assembled a defensive line that features Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe.
Campbell is under contract for two seasons, while Wolfe’s deal ends after 2020. That creates an opening starting spot along Baltimore’s line that the team can fill in free agency.
The Ravens might need a new top pass rusher in 2021 anyway, considering that Judon is playing under the franchise tag. He could leave Baltimore in search of a long-term deal when free agency opens next offseason.
Surprisingly, the Ravens possess plenty of cap room next year. According to Spotrac, Baltimore has the tenth-most room in 2021. Signing Bosa could eat up a good chunk of the team’s $43.366 million in projected space, but Baltimore can land the budding defensive end.
