Every year, the Seattle Seahawks find themselves as Super Bowl hopefuls. Russell Wilson is good enough to lead any roster into the playoffs. Adding a young star edge rusher just takes this defense to another level. The Seahawks defense has undergone a ton of changes since the Legion of Boom era. Yannick Ngakoue could be the Seahawks long term answer on the edge.

While Ngakoue is a good player, there are areas he needs to improve. The most notable aspect of his game that he needs to improve upon is stopping the run. Pairing him with the NFL’s best linebacker and an already strong run defense should help him improve. Another edge rusher may be just what Seattle needs to go from Super Bowl hopeful to true contender.

The cap situation for Seattle is getting a bit tight. Russell Wilson has a well deserved massive contract. Ngakoue may need to take a pay cut, however winning a Super Bowl is a pretty big incentive. If the Seahawks and he were to strike a deal, they will be perennial Super Bowl contenders.
