3. Keep Pace With Chiefs

The San Francisco 49ers won an extremely competitive NFC West with a 13-3 record in 2019. They ran through the NFC playoffs and earned a spot in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a battle between elite offense and elite defense.

In the end, the offense prevailed. The Chiefs picked up a 31-20 victory after a big fourth quarter. Kansas City recently signed Patrick Mahomes to a massive 10-year deal worth up to $503 million. The MVP quarterback is not going anywhere and neither are his weapons. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are two of the best at their position. Mecole Hardman showed signs of being a deep ball threat and Sammy Watkins is back in 2020 on a one-year deal.

The 49ers ran the ball effectively in the playoffs but they will need to do more to keep up with the Chiefs. Adding Hilton is a step in the right direction when it comes to building an elite offense to go with their defense.
