Predicted team in 2020: Dallas Cowboys

Without a shadow of a doubt, Cooper is the most intriguing name at wide receiver that could be available in free agency. Despite needing to pay Dak Prescott and others, the Dallas Cowboys envision a scenario where they also retain Cooper.

Whether they are able to achieve that remains to be seen. At the least, Cooper made it known that he would prefer to play the rest of his career with the Cowboys. Just two years ago, in the middle of the 2018 season, Dallas sent a first-round pick to the Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders to acquire Cooper.

Since arriving to the Cowboys, Cooper has amassed 132 receptions, 1,914 yards, and 14 touchdowns in 25 games. At just 25-years-old, Cooper is still evolving as a receiver and continues to improve his game. The Alabama product had the best year of his career in 2019, hauling in 79 passes for a career-best 1,189 yards and eight touchdowns.

In all likeliness, the Cowboys are likely going to have to franchise tag Prescott before free agency. Then, Dallas can turn their attention to getting a deal done with Cooper, keeping him with Prescott for the foreseeable future.
