Buccaneers: Will Bruce Arians Finally Fix His System?
There is no shortage of intrigue surrounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into the 2020 season. Signing Tom Brady is enough to land that type of attention, but following that up by acquiring the recently retired Rob Gronkowski only adds to it.
Many may be focused on things like how effective Brady and Gronkowski will be in 2020 given the circumstances. Or even if the defense can sustain the results they achieved to close the season. However, the main determining factor appears to be Bruce Arians.
Jameis Winston caught a lot of flack for the 30 interceptions he threw in 2019, but there’s more to consider. Most quarterbacks in their first year with Arians struggle to keep their turnovers down, whether it was Peyton Manning, Tim Couch, Carson Palmer, or Andrew Luck. When considering Brady thrives utilizing check down and short throws, will Arians finally adjust?
