NFL: One burning question each team in the NFC South must answer

Saints, Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers, NFL, NFC South

The NFC South projects as being one of the more competitive divisions in the NFL in 2020. The New Orleans Saints were the lone playoff team from this group last season but there’s reason to believe the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be more competitive.

It was a busy offseason for the Buccaneers, in particular. They signed Tom Brady after his time with the New England Patriots came to an end. Tampa Bay even pulled off a trade for Rob Gronkowski and added some intriguing talents in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Falcons made some changes on defense and added Todd Gurley to replace Devonta Freeman in free agency. With the way they finished the 2019 season, there’s reason to believe they could make a strong bounce-back in 2020.

The Panthers made a clear effort to improve on offense by making coaching staff changes. Additionally, Carolina signed Teddy Bridgewater to take over for Cam Newton and added Robbie Anderson in free agency. The defense likely will be poor again in 2020 and losing Luke Keuchly didn’t help.

As for the Saints, they kept their team largely intact and made some upgrades at key spots and should remain an elite squad. They ended up signing Emmanuel Sanders in free agency to pair with Michael Thomas and replaced Larry Warford on the offensive line.

With that being said, let’s take a look at one burning question each team in the NFC South faces ahead of the 2020 NFL season.
