Denver Broncos
A flashy position battle for the Denver Broncos will involve the two talented running backs they now have in the backfield with the addition of Melvin Gordon. Phillip Lindsay is entering a contract year and that has brought added intrigue to the situation.
Considering the expectation is the Broncos will be embracing a dual-back arrangement, there are far more pressing training camp battles to monitor. They each will compete for carries, but regardless, both will be prominently involved.
There were plenty of opt-outs across the NFL that will cause teams to have to adjust, particularly on the offensive line. The Broncos were certainly no exception to this as starting right tackle Ja’Wuan James was among them.
The favorite to win the starting right tackle role with the first-unit is Elijah Wilkinson, but it won’t be a shoe-in. He will have to compete with Demar Dotson–a former long-time starter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A dark-horse option is Calvin Anderson, too.
