New Orleans Saints

The future of the quarterback position is a real question surrounding the New Orleans Saints. With Drew Brees entering what is expected to be the final season of his NFL career, his replacement will need to be sorted out.

This year’s training camp could be helpful in the Saints’ efforts for gaining insight into future options as the starting quarterback. Between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill, New Orleans has two intriguing options to embrace at the quarterback position in 2021.

Winston arrived at training camp with a much-improved fitness level and motivated to learn and showcase his talent. What he may show the Saints leading into the 2020 season and throughout practices during that time could better prepare New Orleans for their decision next offseason.

It remains to be seen what the market will be for Winston next offseason. In the meantime, he will need to show the Saints he is the right option to be the next starting quarterback in New Orleans to help bolster his market in 2021.
