The New Orleans Saints will be crowned Super Bowl LV champions
Saving the biggest, and boldest for last, the Super Bowl champion in the 2020 season will come out of the NFC South.
After three heart-wrenching exits, the New Orleans Saints will finally complete the trek and lift the Vince Lombardi trophy for the first time since 2010.
Drew Brees has played at a high enough level throughout the entirety of his career to earn more than one Super Bowl ring. The Saints haven’t had the strongest defense during his tenure in the league, but the past few years have deemed promising for Saints fans.
Led by Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore, New Orleans is absolutely stacked on both sides of the ball. The additions of Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins only strengthen the roster, which was strong enough to win it all last season.
The Saints have a top-five quarterback, a top-six running back, and arguably the best receiver in the league to hold down their offense. While the defense still likely won’t sit at the top of the stats charts, it should be good enough to hold off teams with the amount of scoring their offense will produce.
They’ll have a difficult path, having to run through the 49ers, Buccaneers, and a few other teams, but they are the best team in the NFC.
I’m predicting a New Orleans Saints vs. Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl. Drew Brees takes the trophy home one last time in what could be his final season in the league.
