NFL: One second-year player to watch from each team in the AFC North

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Cincinnati Bengals — Jonah Williams

Just as everyone expected, the Bengals selected Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, as much as Burrow provides some optimism for the future, Cincinnati still hasn’t gotten a chance to see their first-round pick in 2019 log a single snap yet.

With the No. 11 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Bengals took Jonah Williams out of Alabama. In taking Williams, Cincinnati was expecting to get a stalwart left tackle that could keep whoever was under center upright.

Unfortunately, Williams would undergo shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and would miss his entire rookie season. Given the fact that Burrow faces a ton of expectations at quarterback, all eyes will be on Williams to prove that he finally replace the void that was left behind by Andrew Whitworth three years ago.
