Cleveland Browns — Mack Wilson
Earlier this offseason, the Browns elected to let Joe Schobert walk in free agency, allowing him to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Over the past three seasons, Schobert was the anchor in the middle of the defense, notching 380 tackles, 19 pass breakups, eight sacks, seven forced fumbles, and six interceptions.
With Schobert gone, Cleveland will need some of their young linebackers — especially Mack Wilson — to step up. The Browns took Wilson with their fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Despite being taken in the later rounds, Wilson became an immediate contributor for Cleveland. The Alabama product would play in 89 percent of the Browns’ defensive snaps in 2019. Altogether, he totaled 82 tackles, seven pass breakups, and an interception. As a result of his impressive rookie season, Wilson is expected to help replace the production left behind by Schobert.
