Taylor Gabriel
Throughout the NFL, there are some names available in free agency that are a bit surprising. One of the names on offense that remains unsigned as of this moment is Taylor Gabriel. With the league falling in love with speed on offense, it’s interesting to see Gabriel still looking for a place to call home in 2020.
Over the past two seasons, Gabriel has been a useful pass-catcher for the Chicago Bears. Therefore, after facing him twice a year since 2018, the Packers are aware of how effective Gabriel can be in an offense. The former Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns wide receiver compiled his best season in 2018, notching 67 passes for 688 yards and two touchdowns.
While Gabriel was inconsistent in 2019 due to Chicago’s less-than-ideal situation under center, he produced an average target separation of 1.88 yards (12th best among WRs). On top of that, Gabriel boasted a 110.8 passer rating when targeted, which was the 19th best among WRs last season. Given his ability to create separation and ability to stretch the field, Gabriel could be a perfect fit with Adams and Lazard.
