Packers: 3 WRs Green Bay could target with Devin Funchess opting out in 2020

Paul Richardson

Back on March 13, 2018, Paul Richardson signed a five-year, $40 million contract with the Washington Football Team. Just two years after he agreed to his multi-year deal with Washington, Richardson was released by the team following the hiring of new head coach Ron Rivera.

In his two seasons in the nation’s capital, Richardson combined for only 48 receptions, 507 yards, and four touchdowns. Before joining Washington in 2018, Richardson put together his best season in 2017, hauling in 44 catches for 703 yards and six touchdowns with the Seattle Seahawks.

While Richardson failed to live up to expectations in Washington, he only dropped two of his 77 targets since 2018. Also, maybe going from having an inconsistent situation at quarterback to Aaron Rodgers could allow Richardson to be a formidable wide receiver for the Packers alongside Adams and Allen Lazard.
