O.J. Howard, Tight End, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Not many would view O.J. Howard as a “dream” trade target for the Patriots, but he absolutely belongs on this list. While he has yet to show off his full potential with the Buccaneers, Howard has superstar potential and athleticism for a tight end.

Last season with the Buccaneers, Howard ended up catching 34 passes for 459 yards and a touchdown.

Standing in at 6-foot-6 and 242 pounds, Howard has great speed for his size. He would provide Jarrett Stidham with exactly the kind of presence he needs. A big body who can make plays and act as a security blanket for the young quarterback.

If the Patriots do choose to pursue a trade for Howard, it likely wouldn’t break the bank. Here is what a potential deal for the young tight end could look like:
