Josh Gordon or Antonio Brown
The New England Patriots took chances on both Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon last season but ultimately elected to move on from both. It would make sense to at least ponder the idea of bringing one of them back
The Patriots currently are heading into the 2020 season with Julian Edelman in the slot setting the tone for the receiving corps. Meanwhile, N’Keal Harry is expected to play a significant role in the offense as well. They could use another threat, particularly a veteran contributor.
When Gordon has actually been on the field for the Patriots, he achieved strong results. He played 17 games for New England during his two seasons with the organization and totaled 60 catches, 1,007 yards, and four touchdowns.
Gordon and Brown still need to be reinstated by the NFL and if that were to happen, the Patriots should give them a call. While the time Brown spent in New England was brief, both receivers have familiarity with the organization and that has value.
