4. Washington Redskins

Washington has issues across the board coming into this season. Not only are they coming off a ugly three-win season, they are also being pressured to change their name. The name change will be the most exciting thing out of Washington this season.

A new name will serve as a fresh start for a franchise that’s been one of the leagues worst in the past decade once it goes into effect. The Redskins once again find themselves rebuilding, however, there are some very good pieces on the team as the roster currently stands.

Offensively, Washington has to find an identity. Dwayne Haskins started the season off very poorly, but ended on a bit of a high note. It is too early for Washington to give up on him. Meanwhile, in the backfield, Derrius Guice has flashed some great potential but cannot stay on the field due to injury.

The offensive line has some very good pieces, however there are a few unproven players starting this year. Terry McLaurin had a solid rookie year, but isn’t a star receiver just yet. This is an offense that will likely struggle this season.

On defense, Washington has a good amount of talent. Although he is getting older, Ryan Kerrigan is still a solid edge rusher while Montez Sweat is a promising prospect who is still trying to polish his game. Let’s not forget, Chase Young is one of the most hyped rookie edge rushers the NFL has ever seen.

As for the other spots in the Redskins’ defense, Kendall Fuller and Fabian Moreau are both very good young corners. While the front-seven is undoubtedly talented and there is some intrigue in the secondary, they won’t be good enough yet to carry the team to success.

Prediction: 4-12
