Raiders Will Miss the Playoffs

It won’t be easy for the Las Vegas Raiders to successfully earn a playoff spot during the upcoming season. The Kansas City Chiefs run the table in the AFC West barring any potential unforeseen injury to Patrick Mahomes. That means the rest of the division will be competing for the second spot.

Between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers making intriguing offseason additions, the Raiders will have stiff competition for that No. 2 spot in their division. The Broncos possess very intriguing potential on offense while the Chargers will have an impressive defense.

There will be plenty of viable options contending for a Wild Card spot from other AFC divisions. The AFC North and AFC South each will have two teams aside from a potential division winner that could compete along with the New England Patriots in the AFC East.

There still feels to be a need for more from the Raiders before they emerge as a playoff team. They made progress in roster construction this offseason but it’s just one step in a process that can take a while.
