The Baltimore Ravens are heading into their Week 15 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars tied for the best record in the NFL. Fortunately for them, all of the other 10-3 teams reside in the NFC, which means all roads to the Super Bowl currently run through Baltimore.

Having the bye week and home-field advantage in the postseason would provide the Ravens with a huge edge. They will have to earn that position, as their schedule for the remainder of the season is brutal.

After visiting the Jaguars in Week 15, they head on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 before closing out the season at home against the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers. Should Baltimore finish with the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they will have earned it.

NFL News & Rumors: Lamar Jackson & Baltimore Ravens Updates

A big reason that they are going to be in a position to do so is the presence of quarterback, Lamar Jackson. The 2019 NFL MVP is having a solid season and once again finds himself in the mix for the award.

It is something which Jackson offered up a simple response, saying, “It’s an honor,” when asked about being included in the conversations again. As the starting quarterback for one of the best teams in the NFL, it is only right that he is amongst the favorites to take home some hardware.

“Just being acknowledged. Just to be in that MVP conversation with great guys who are nominated for. I am just staying locked in. I’m trying to win, I want another championship, another trophy,” Jackson would add.

On the season, Jackson has completed 252-of-377 passes, good for a completion percentage of 66.8. If he keeps up that pace, he will set a new career high. He has thrown for 2,934 yards, putting him on pace to shatter his single-season high in that category as well.

NFL News & Rumors: Lamar Jackson & Baltimore Ravens Update

Jackson has thrown 16 touchdowns compared to only six interceptions, as he has done a good job of taking care of the ball. He remains a threat on the ground, racking up 644 yards on 123 attempts with five more scores.

As the season has worn on, Jackson has looked more and more comfortable in the new offense run by Jeff Monken, who replaced Greg Roman. If he can finish the season on a high note, the Ravens will be the No. 1 seed in the conference and a second MVP award will be within reach for the Louisville product.
