Possible End of Drew Brees’ NFL Career

There isn’t official confirmation regarding Drew Brees’ potential retirement plans. However, the legendary quarterback hanging up his cleats for good appears after the upcoming season appears to be the most likely outcome.

It has been nothing short of fascinating to watch Brees bounce back from needing shoulder surgery in 2006 to see what he’s accomplished. Bringing a Super Bowl to New Orleans on top of all of the historic production he’s had has been nothing short of incredible.

The Saints will need be faced with a difficult reality after this season when it comes to the quarterback position. The impact Brees provides can go underappreciated and they have limited resources to be able to replace the impact.

If it’s Taysom Hill that indeed ends up taking over the reigns at quarterback, it could come with some serious growing pains. He’s never played a traditional role at this position in the NFL and that will require an adjustment.
