Attempt to Finally Get Over the Hump

It has been a real challenge for the New Orleans Saints to get the job done come playoff time for quite some time. They have managed to put together some genuinely impressive regular seasons just to come up short.

The Saints have experienced both of the most disappointing ways to be eliminated in the playoffs in recent years. Losing in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 NFC Championship Game after a controversial call tops the list.

It certainly didn’t help the Saints came up short in overtime to the Minnesota Vikings in the 2019 Wild Card Round either. It goes without saying, the ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ only makes this overall situation more complex to sort through.

Considering the status of the quarterback position for the Saints, the upcoming season may be the team’s final chance to make a Super Bowl run with Drew Brees. Many will be watching to see if they can finally overcome recent playoff woes before No. 9 retires.
