Russell Wilson Will Finally Get MVP Recognition
It’s almost impossible to believe, but Russell Wilson has never received an MVP vote. That will finally come to an end this season. Wilson appears set for a career year and he won’t just get some MVP votes, but he will take home the MVP trophy and lead Seattle to the best record in the NFC.
Under Wilson’s leadership, the Seahawks’ offense will thrive. They will be like a well-oiled machine. Wilson’s best attribute may be his incredible ability to play under pressure and deliver in clutch moments. In such a tough division, the leadership under pressure is important. He has made his mark as one of the leagues best QB’s. According to Pro Football Focus, Wilson was the best overall passer in the NFL last season.
The 2019 season may have been Wilson’s best season yet. However, he did this with a backfield left in shambles towards the end of the year. It also took Metcalf a while to reach his full potential. The pieces are well in place for the Seahawks offense to help Wilson to maximize his impact from the start.
Look for Wilson to throw for at least 4,500 passing yards, 35 passing touchdowns, 8 interceptions, and add 400 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. That type of production would be more than enough to be able to land MVP recognition as long as the team success is there, too.
