Titans: 3 early goals for running back Derrick Henry in 2020

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Earn himself a payday for next offseason

Following his impressive 2019 season, Henry was hoping that his contributions would result in a new contract with the Titans. Instead, Tennessee chose to place their franchise tag on him, keeping him with the team for another season.

Still, even with the franchise tag, Henry would rather go out and earn himself a multi-year contract that makes him one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL. Despite the fact that paying running backs hasn’t provided fruitful results for teams, Henry would receive interest from multiple teams on the open market.

Regardless of whether it’s with the Titans or another team, Henry undoubtedly wants to earn himself a decent payday in 2021. He can do just that by compiling another remarkable season with Tennessee in 2020 and by staying healthy.
