Washington Redskins: 3 Bold Predictions for Alex Smith in 2018

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

He Will Lead the Redskins to the NFC Championship Game

Washington was expected to put together a big season in 2017 after making the playoffs and winning the NFC East in 2016. Unfortunately, that did not end up happening. They finished with a 7-9 record that placed them third in the division.

Smith will help change things around once again. He will put together a massive individual season that will result in the Redskins making it to the NFC Championship Game.

Beating out the New York, Philadelphia, and Dallas in the division may not be attainable. That being said, the Redskins will be playing their best football at the right time. Smith will find a way to lead his team to the NFC Championship Game and a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.

After an incredibly disappointing season, this is exactly what the Redskins and their fans need. Smith may not be viewed as a superstar, but he will play like one in 2018.

Following the 2018 season, no one will be able to say that Smith is simply a game manager. They will be forced to look at him as a quarterback capable of bringing a championship to his city.
