Did The Falcons Improve Their Defense?

Atlanta has been known as an offensive-minded team with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones leading the way over the last few years. Their defense has been decent, but they lost quite a few pieces this offseason.

Among the missing pieces from 2019 are cornerback Desmond Trufant, linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, and defensive end Vic Beasley. Granted, the Falcons did go out and bring in a huge piece in Dante Fowler Jr. They also signed Steven Means, Tyeler Davison, and a few others.

Did the Falcons improve their defense? Probably not. However, they did add some pass-rushing and have talent that could potentially step up in 2020.
