Round 2, Pick 34: Tee Higgins (WR, Clemson)
Some fans in Indianapolis are hoping that the team utilizes their first-round pick on a wide receiver. But with this year’s draft class being extremely deep at receiver, the Colts can afford to wait.
After selecting their hopeful quarterback of the future, it would be wise to add a pass-catcher to the offense. This season proved that the Colts have a glaring need at wide receiver.
T.Y. Hilton, Devin Funchess, and Parris Campbell were all hampered by injuries in 2019. With Funchess headed for free agency, Indianapolis will likely replace him through the draft.
With the 34th pick in the draft, the Colts could find themselves landing Tee Higgins out of Clemson. Even with a 6-foot-4 frame, Higgins proved he is capable of creating big plays in an offense. Adding a talent like Higgins to Hilton and Campbell would definitely round out the receiving corps.
