3 early predictions for Chiefs rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire

8 total touchdowns

Since Mahomes became the starting quarterback for the Chiefs in 2018, Kansas City hasn’t had any trouble putting points up on the scoreboard. Of course, the focal points of Kansas City’s high-octane offense are Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.

Additionally, guys like Mecole Hardman, Sammy Watkins, and Williams figure to be involved in the offense as well. But when you score 30 or more points per game, there are going to be plenty of opportunities to score touchdowns — even for a rookie like Edwards-Helaire.

Along with his other remarkable numbers in 2019, Edwards-Helaire scored a total of 17 touchdowns at LSU (16 rushing, 1 receiving). Although it’s unlikely he repeats that production in 2020, Edwards-Helaire could very well score eight or more touchdowns with the Chiefs next season.
