Larry Warford

The New Orleans Saints chose to move on from three-time Pro Bowl guard Larry Warford after drafting Cesar Ruiz in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The plan is to start Ruiz at center and move Erik McCoy to guard, making it so Warford was no longer needed.

This could provide an opportunity for the San Francisco 49ers to make an upgrade on its offensive line by pursuing Warford. He may not be elite at his position but he certainly is an upgrade over what is currently on the roster opposite of Daniel Brunskill.

The 49ers moved on from Mike Person by releasing him on the first day of April. He struggled in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, making it a need to add talent at this spot. San Francisco could still use Warford considering its selection in the 2020 NFL Draft didn’t address this spot.
