Jaylon Johnson, Utah, NFL Draft

The first option that the Redskins could take a look at would be in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Due to the fact that Washington doesn’t currently have a second-round pick, they would have to wait until the second pick of the third round to target a cornerback.

Jaylon Johnson is an intriguing prospect out of Utah and could be a solid addition. At 6-foot-0 and nearly 200 pounds, Johnson has solid size. There are quite a few talented wide receivers in the NFC that the Redskins will need to utilize a cornerback with size, speed, and athleticism.

Last season with the Utes, Johnson ended up compiling 36 total tackles, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 11 defended passes. His numbers look pretty solid. Washington needs more playmakers and Johnson has the potential to become a very good one at the next level.
