3 reasons AJ Green should sign with the New Orleans Saints

For the first time in AJ Green’s nine-year career, he is going to be a free agent. The former All-Pro receiver has spent the entirety of his career in the black and orange, making the playoffs only four times.

Recently, he has spent more time in the trainer’s room than the actual field. Even with the embattled injury history as of late, Green should still command the league’s attention during free agency.

Wide receivers who can be certified number one option, 1,000 yard receiving producers just don’t come available every off-season. The Bengals can certainly franchise tag him to keep in Cincinnati, but the general feel so far is that both sides are ready to move on.

If he does, in fact, hit the open market, one team that should try and lure Green is the New Orleans Saints. They just finished an interesting season that saw Drew Brees miss a large chunk of games but come back, Michael Thomas having a historic season and a playoff loss that left fans questioning officials once again.
