The Carolina Panthers are in the middle of what is going to be a pivotal offseason for the future of their franchise. Matt Rhule has come in as a first-year NFL head coach and many believe he is going to take the team’s offense to the next level.
Perhaps the biggest question facing the Panthers this offseason is what they should do at the quarterback position. At this point in time, the Panthers have thrown a ton of support behind Cam Newton as their starter. However, many believe that Carolina could still choose to go a different direction.
While sticking with Newton would make some sense for at least one more year to see how he comes back from injury, the Panthers should also consider taking a quarterback with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Justin Herbert has been talked about as a potential target for Carolina, but there is another signal-caller who would make more sense. That player would be Utah State standout Jordan Love.
