4 major takeaways from the Cowboys vs. Seahawks matchup in Week 3

The Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks faced off in what was considered “America’s Game of the Week” during the latest slate of NFL action. The outcome ended up being a 38-31 victory for the Seahawks.

The flow of this game featured a relatively tight matchup. The Seahawks and Cowboys each had nine points by the time the first quarter came to a close. Seattle then outscored Dallas to end the initial half — setting up a 23-15 lead at halftime.

Instead of cutting into the Seahawks’ lead in the second half, the Cowboys simply kept pace in the scoring column. Each side put up just seven points in the third period and Dallas outscored Seattle just 9-8 in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys now have a 1-2 record and were an onside kick away from possible being winless. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are 3-0 with lots of momentum going their way — quickly emerging as favorites to win the NFC West.

With that being said, let’s take a look at four major takeaways from the Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks matchup in Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season.
