Rob Gronkowski
A lot of attention will be placed on the new additions to the Buccaneers when teams take the field in Week 1. For Rob Gronkowski, in particular, sitting out for the entirety of the 2019 season and not having a preseason could pose a real challenge, or help him catch the Saints by surprise.
The Buccaneers will not need Gronkowski to produce the type of volumes he previously did in his prime with the Patriots. Tampa Bay has a variety of other formidable tight end threats in O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate to involve in their rotation.
If Gronkowski can put together an impressive performance against the Saints, that should bode well for where’s at overall. It’s important not to panic if that does not occur, though. It could take a couple of games before he finds a rhythm.
The thought of Gronkowski finding his previous form and taking the Buccaneers’ offense to the next level is intriguing, to say the least. Even if he’s mostly at where he was previously, Tampa Bay would give a lot of teams problems as a unit.
It all starts against the Saints in Week 1.
