Austin Jackson
As previously mentioned, Okung is a potential cap casualty for the Chargers this offseason. Seeing that Okung turns 32-years-old this year and has an expensive contract, it’s probably best if Los Angeles goes in a different direction.
In the event that Niang checks all of the boxes physically, then he could be a possible candidate at the No. 37 pick. But if the Chargers are wary of Niang, Austin Jackson could be on their radar.
Jackson, who played at USC, definitely has the skillset to evolve into a starting tackle in the NFL. Along with his quickness, Jackson is also long enough to thrive at preventing edge rushers from getting around him.
Similar to most second-round picks on the offensive line, Jackson would likely need some time to shape his game before starting. Still, Jackson would be an ideal choice for the Chargers in the second round.
