Overload of Receiving Talent
During the 2019 season, the Dallas Cowboys had a real struggle to produce against winning teams. It seemed they couldn’t get enough production out of their receiving duo with Amari Cooper playing through injuries often.
The addition of CeeDee Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft may not have satisfied a pressing need on the surface. However, having a game-changing receiver prospect will help the Cowboys to be able to transcend against tough defenses, especially when Cooper is playing through an injury.
When the Rams lost to the Cowboys in 2019, Dallas did so despite receiving a combined 25 yards from both Cooper and Michael Gallup. The leading receiver in the matchup was Tavon Austin who had 59 yards and a touchdown…and it was from a single catch.
When factoring in that Lamb is now in the mix, it’s difficult to envision the Cowboys not having enough firepower on offense to get a win.
