When it comes to how teams are trending in NFL, the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Ravens just came off of the winningest regular season since their inception, while the Browns are very quickly establishing themselves as a team that fights to avoid last place in their division.

Most fans aren’t expecting this game to be very competitive and almost everybody would pick Baltimore to win this one. That being said, a victory isn’t out of reach for Cleveland, but the Ravens are favored by over a touchdown in this Week 1 matchup.

While this game may not bring the competitiveness of other Week 1 matchups, it’ll be a star-studded battle from both ends. Odell Beckham Jr., Myles Garrett, and Nick Chubb will be slotted to face the reigning league MVP in Lamar Jackson. Jackson will have his number one ranked offense and number 3 ranked defense behind him and, in all likelihood, will walk home with a 1-0 record.

But that’s the beauty of the NFL. 60 minutes of Week 1 football tells us more about each team than months of offseason practice. Every prediction for this game is based on speculation and nothing more. We’ve seen similar matchups that result in the lesser team taking home the W.

So in an extremely competitive league, is it likely that the Ravens repeat at a 14-win team with a first-ranked offense and third-ranked defense? No, and that’s why people tune in every week. This NFL season will likely bring us new stars and a change in the hierarchy of each division.

Here are five bold predictions for the the Ravens vs. Browns Week 1 matchup in the 2020 NFL season.
