Rob Gronkowski Will Look Rusty
After sitting out for the entirety of the 2019 season, Rob Gronkowski will make his return to the NFL. While he will be doing so in a new uniform, it will still be the same quarterback, Tom Brady, throwing him passes, but now as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Adding so much star power has brought the spotlight to the Buccaneers ahead of the 2020 season. The expectations are high with many projecting Tampa Bay to make it all the way to NFC Championship Game and some even to the Super Bowl.
The thought of Gronkowski being able to pick up where he left off during his time with the Patriots is a key factor in those projections. He was a true game-changing talent and when teams faced off with New England, they almost never had an answer.
It’s possible that Gronkowski manages to get back to being a game-wrecking talent, but expect him to struggle in Week 1. The New Orleans Saints are a tough matchup for any player, but it becomes all the more difficult for a player who hasn’t played an NFL game since Feb. of 2018.
