3. Raheem Mostert Will Have 150+ rushing yards
As I said earlier, the 49ers will turn to Raheem Mostert a lot this week. While the two touchdowns already yield a great game, he will also rush for over 150 yards. San Francisco will dominate the Jets upfront using mostly outside zone runs.
The 49ers may look to avoid Quinnen Williams because he is the only player who can make an impact for the Jets in these situations. However, with Mostert’s speed, it’s unlikely can stop him on the edge — providing the true makings for a lot of yardage gains.
Without George Kittle and Deebo Samuel, the 49ers will end up running the ball a lot this week. The Jets’ offense may have trouble against the dominant San Francisco’s defense — creating additional opportunities for San Francisco to gain possession. With that being said, once the 49ers take the lead, the Jets will likely not be able to cut into it since San Francisco will completely control the clock.
With Mostert getting so many touches, he will be in for a fantastic game. He has shown that when the 49ers give him opportunities, he can be a star player. The Jets will have a very hard time stopping him. The final prediction for Mostert is 150 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns — marking a truly phenomenal game for any running back.
