D’Andre Swift Rushes For 80+ Yards, Touchdown
Up until Week 6, D’Andre Swift was remembered for a dropped pass in the season opener that would have given the Detroit Lions a victory. That reputation change when he ran wild against the Jaguars.
The Lions signed Adrian Peterson once he was released by Washington. He has been nothing short of productive for Detroit, but Swift is the future. They did not feed him the ball over the first five weeks.
Against Jacksonville, Swift was able to get it going. He finished with 14 carries for 116 yards and two touchdowns. This was an average of 8.3 yards per carry. There is a chance for Swift to build off this performance against a poor Falcons’ defense.
There is no doubt that Swift is the future for Detroit. They have been working him into the offense slowly, which is fine, but it is time to takes the training wheels off and let him run.
