5 bold predictions for the Lions vs. Jaguars matchup in Week 6

James Robinson, Jaguars, Fantasy Football

James Robinson will have a career night

One of the biggest surprises this year has been the quality play of James Robinson. He is running the ball very well and the Jaguars offensive line has done an excellent job creating running lanes for the rookie back.

Robinson’s worst game came last week, he fumbled on a halfback pass and he was held to a season-low 3.6 yards per carry. However, Jacksonville must feed him the ball more. I expect Robinson to get plenty of touches this week against a Lions team that’s been giving up plenty of big plays to opposing backs.

James Robinson is the Jaguars workhorse, but he hasn’t been receiving workhorse-like touches. He has yet to surpass 17 carries a game. The Jaguars defense has been struggling early on this year. They have suffered plenty of injuries on defense. They will likely be without their top receiver this week as well. To balance out the poor defense and injury issues, the Jaguars should try and control more clock. Look for Robinson to get plenty of touches this week.

The Jaguars undrafted rookie out of Illinois State has been very impressive so far this year. He’s averaging over 4.5 yards per carry and has show ability as both a runner and a receiver out of the backfield. This week could be his big breakout game. Look for Robinson to have over 150 total yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns against a Lions squad that’s had a lot of trouble stopping opposing running backs.
