Matt Nagy, Chicago Bears
The expectations were high for the Chicago Bears heading into the 2019 season after coming off a 12-4 record the year prior. Instead of emerging as a contender, they went on to post an 8-8 record and missed the playoffs altogether.
There are still questions facing the Bears’ roster even beyond Mitchell Trubisky at the quarterback position. They could turn to Nick Foles if Trubisky doesn’t progress in his development, but that doesn’t fix their other roster holes.
While the Detroit Lions may still be considerably behind the rest of the pack in the NFC North, the Bears will face stiff competition with the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Viking in the division.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see calls for Nagy’s job if the Bears are underachieving and appear to be out of the playoff race.
