Broncos: 3 dream trade targets for Denver in 2020

Heading into the 2019 offseason, the Broncos just finished with a decent record of 7-9. There was not much hype around the Broncos after there 7-9 regular season, but after their postseason finished, the narrative on the Broncos completely flipped

The Broncos draft was arguably one of the best, if not the best. In the 2019 draft, Denver selected QB Drew Lock. Lock looked okay in the few games he played this past season, but it was clear that he needed more weapons and help around him, and that is exactly what the Broncos did.

The first two picks that the Broncos made in the draft went to helping Drew Lock. In the 1st round, the Broncos selected one of the best receivers in the draft in Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy was one of the most talented receivers in this year’s draft, in large part due to his incredible route-running ability. The Broncos also other great selections with the picks of K.J Hamler, Albert Okwuegbunam and Netane Muti. Denver didn’t only just kill the draft, but they made other great offseason moves as well.

The Broncos made two great trades this offseason as well. The first major trade the Broncos made this offseason was trading for Jaguars cornerback A.J Bouye. Bouye did not play like himself last year, but the Broncos only ended up trading away a 4th round pick, for a possible top tier cornerback.

The other great move that Denver made was a defensive lineman in the form of Jurrell Casey. This move was a move to clear cap space for the Titans as Casey is on track to make over 30 million the next three years according to Over The Cap, but it ended up working very well for the Broncos. The Broncos only had to trade away a late-round draft pick to acquire the services of Casey.

Even with this incredible off-season by the Broncos, there are still some gaps they could fill. Bouye is a quality piece that the Broncos brought in, but Denver would be well served to bring in another quality cornerback to play alongside Bouye.

The Broncos dream trades don’t necessarily have to be stars either as they could use some help in terms of depth as well. With that being said, here are three players that meet this description.
