Noah Fant Has a Breakout Season in Store

The Broncos got a decent rookie season from Noah Fant at the tight end position. 40 receptions for 562 yards and three touchdowns is respectable for a rookie. Look for those numbers to go up in his second season. Fant is going to be a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses.

The defense already has a lot to worry about at wide receiver and Fant has the ability to attack the middle of the field. This is another thing young quarterbacks like.

Fant just started to tease what he was capable of last season. He had two games over 100 yards receiving and one of those games was with Lock throwing him the football. In those two games with 100 yards receiving he had three and four receptions respectively. The moral of this quick little story is that Fant can do a lot with a little work.

There is big play potential all over the offense. Juedy is a home run threat. Sutton is a legitimate number one receiver and K.J. Hamler is an absolute speedster of a rookie. Fant may have more big play potential than any of them.

If Fant can get his stat line to look something like 65 receptions for 850 yards and six touchdowns the Broncos offense should take another step. In terms of talent, the Broncos are very equipped on offense.

Denver fans may not want to hear this, but the AFC West is probably going to the Kansas City Chiefs. Andy Reid is a masterful coach and Patrick Mahomes is a magic maker at the most important position. The Broncos are a young up and coming team though, and a wild card spot is an attainable goal. This Broncos team is going to be young and hungry.

They will go as far as Lock can take them. Right now, that’s probably not the Super Bowl. That doesn’t mean the Broncos aren’t going to have a fun season. This team should make some noise and they could set up a brighter future down the road.
