Colts: 3 reasons Indianapolis should go all-out to sign Philip Rivers

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Rivers Has Excellent Production

Brissett was solid, but his numbers were nothing near the kind that Rivers is capable of putting up. While Rivers did have a rough season in 2019 with the Los Angeles Chargers, he still threw for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.

Obviously, the turnover numbers simply cannot happen. That being said, the Chargers were a mess in and of themselves.

Rivers would get a fresh start in Indianapolis with a top-notch offensive line, a talented young running back in Marlon mack, and a star wide receiver in T.Y. Hilton. The Colts would also have the money to add more talent to the offense. This fit would make a lot of sense for both parties.
