4. Carson Wentz Starts & Finishes All Games
The Eagles traded with the Cleveland Browns for the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. They used that pick to select Wentz out of North Dakota state. Three years later, Philadelphia inked their franchise quarterback to a four-year, $128 million deal. They did not do this for Wentz to get hurt and miss the most important time of the season.
In 2020, this will have to stop. Wentz played all 16 games in his rookie season. From then on, he has struggled with injuries that have kept him out of many games, including the team’s Super Bowl run in 2017. In 2019, Wentz played all 16 games during the regular season but suffered a head injury in the postseason. No, this was not his fault but it seemed par for the course when it came to Wentz and his history.
For the Eagles to make a run to the NFC East title and possibly the Super Bowl, they will need their quarterback to remain healthy and under center. This could be the year that Wentz erases the injury history and writes his own story in the postseason.
