2. Doug Pederson Earns NFL Coach of the Year

Pederson took over as head coach of the Eagles in 2016. After a 7-9 campaign in year one, he led the Eagles to a 13-3 record in 2017 and a Super Bowl. He was completely robbed of the NFL’s Coach of the Year award as it was given to Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams. In 2020, Pederson could earn his first selection.

Since bursting onto the scene, Pederson has been one of the top coaches in the league. The Eagles have gone 9-7 over the last two years. They have become a consistent winner in the NFC. Pederson is an aggressive coach, sometimes to a fault. That is his style and fans have learned to deal with it because he is successful more often than not. Pederson is incredible in clutch situations and knows what to do at all levels of the field.

If they have a big year and win the NFC East once again, Pederson could earn the Coach of the Year award. He has catapulted his name into the top 10 best in the league and can arguably be top five.
