3. Eagles Sure Up Defense with Jadeveon Clowney

The secondary was immediately improved with the addition of Darius Slay. The Eagles could do the same by adding one of the premier pass rushers in the league. Whether it is during camp or during the season, Philadelphia has a chance to add Jadeveon Clowney to their defensive line. This move would take their defense to the next level.

After three Pro Bowl seasons with the Houston Texans, Clowney was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. Ironically, Clowney was the defender that knocked Wentz out of last year’s wild card game. He could come full circle and help Wentz win a championship. Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett were the leading sack men for the Eagles in 2019. They will both be back this year and adding Clowney would provide depth and star power to the defensive line.

The 2017 Eagles were a team of destiny. They had a strong defense and that helped them to a miracle season that ended with a championship. The 2020 team is not far behind. If they want to build a championship defense, they will have to addd a piece like Clowney.
