Offensive Line
Philadelphia suffered a blow when guard Brandon Brooks tore his Achilles. He will miss the season but the Eagles should still have a solid line led by veteran players.
Lane Johnson will return to his right tackle spot while Isaac Seumalo will man the left guard position. Jason Kelce has been a staple at center for the Eagles and he has turned into one of the top at the position in the game. This is where it gets tricky.
Andre Dillard was the likely candidate to take over at left tackle but suffered a torn biceps injury. If he is forced to miss time, Peters could be back at left tackle, which is why he is currently seeking a raise from the $3 million he’s set to earn if he plays at that position. If not then, because of the injury to Brooks, Peters could be slotted into the right guard position.
The Eagles will have depth on the offensive line thanks to names like Nate Herbig, Matt Pryor, and Sua Opeta. There is not a ton of experience here which means one player will have to step up. If Dillard’s injury is serious, there will be a battle for the right guard position. Jack Driscoll will also be in the mix.
The Eagles have their veterans along the line mixed in with some younger options. This offensive line is important because they need to keep Wentz healthy and creative lanes for Sanders. It is worth keeping an eye on how they choose to configure their line over the rest of camp and heading into Week 1.
